ABC's of Advocacy

SCROLL DOWN TO GET THE RECORDING

It’s a challenging world for nonprofits and the communities we serve. COVID-19 and shelter-in-place have deeply exacerbated our community's greatest inequities and problems.

As we navigate the second year of the pandemic, SVCN invites you to our Activate Your Impact Policy Summit. Together, we will discuss and reimagine how public policy can be wielded as a change agent for racial equity and collective healing.

Pivotal eras demand pivotal policies.

ABC's of Advocacy is a hands-on workshop for nonprofits covering strategy, tactics, and partnering to accomplish your policy objectives with Wendy Ho, MPA.

One of the most important ways nonprofits can advance their mission is through policy advocacy. In this session, participants will gain an understanding of the basics of advocacy and how to develop compelling messages that resonate with policy makers. Learn the "do's and don'ts" of legislative visits and effective strategies for engaging policy makers, with a special focus on advocacy with local governments.

This is an encore performance by Wendy Ho, SVCN's former Chief Strategy and Policy Officer that you don't want to miss!
