It’s a challenging world for nonprofits and the communities we serve. COVID-19 and shelter-in-place have deeply exacerbated our community's greatest inequities and problems.

As we navigate year two of the pandemic, SVCN invites you to our Activate Your Impact Policy Summit. Together, we will discuss and reimagine how public policy can be wielded as a change agent for racial equity and collective healing.

Designed for those who challenge the status quo, #AYI21 will equip nonprofit advocates in your work to fight for equity and thriving communities. By joining us, you will immerse yourself in an environment that brings change agents together to learn and collaborate to amplify our collective voice.

We're offering this summit as a six-part series of webinars from March 9 - 11, at 11am and 2pm each day. You'll also have a chance to hear from and dialogue with the highly impactful and knowledgeable nonprofit leaders who we bring to you.

Our headliner presentation is Health Equity: Challenge of our Time (free to everyone), where a panel of local health leaders will explore the disproportionate impact COVID-19 is having on communities of color and what we can do now to combat these unjust health inequities. Following the headliner are these insightful live webinars:

• Moving to Meet the Moment -- How the School of Arts and Culture at MHP, a place-based cultural institution, leveraged its two greatest assets (the Mexican Heritage Plaza and its team) to meet the moment through advocacy, change management, and the mobilization of the Si Se Puede Collective.
• State Buzz: Legislation Nonprofits Should Care About -- What's new and emerging in the California Legislature that affects nonprofit organizations and the communities we serve.
• Our Advocacy Stories -- A panel of nonprofit advocates tell how they moved the needle, won the day, or lived to fight another day -- and why your nonprofit is needed in the battle for equitable and thriving communities.
• ABC's of Advocacy -- ABC's of nonprofit advocacy -- strategy, tactics, and partnering to accomplish your policy objectives. 
• Post Election Rundown -- diving deep into what the results from November 2020 means for our nonprofit community.
