This year, Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) is once again convening nonprofit policy professionals and advocates at our Activate Your Impact (AYI) Policy Summit with the theme of Building Resilience & Resistance.
Let’s be real – these are unprecedented times. As nonprofit changemakers, we must link arms and take on the challenges of federal overreach and local budget shortfalls that threaten to roll back hard-won advancements in the fight for racial justice and equity.
The AYI Summit will highlght our theme of Building Resilience & Resistance with a keynote address from Attorney General Rob Bonta on how his office will act to safeguard Californians’ community safety and enforce our civil rights laws. The Attorney General will play a crucial role in responding to legal threats from the Trump administration.
We will also welcome a number of seasoned policy practitioners to share their wisdom about what is currently happening in local policy, how to strategically advance progressive policy, and how to maintain joy and resilience in the face of injustice – highlighted in the following panels:

The SVCN Team will conduct a workshop on the step-by step process of creating an organizational policy agenda centered in community voices that informs nonprofits’ advocacy to advance their missions. We will feature different perspectives from nonprofit leaders about their experiences in developing their own policy agenda.
