Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits' (SVCN) candidate fora provide an opportunity for the nonprofit community to learn the ideas, visions, and priorities of local candidates. We focus our discussion on issues that impact nonprofits as partners, contractors, community-based service providers, and advocates.

This forum will cover a range of topics dealing in public safety.

The public is welcome to attend our nonprofit candidate forum. However, please be advised that SVCN will be prioritizing questions from SVCN members and nonprofit leaders.

Bob Jonsen

Everyone in Santa Clara County deserves to feel safe, no matter what their zip code is.

I’m running for Sheriff because the department needs change. With over 35 years of experience as a Deputy Sheriff and Chief of Police, I’ve managed large law enforcement staffs and balanced substantial budgets.

Before the movement for criminal justice reform finally became a priority nationwide, I pushed for innovative policies that reduced crime and improved community outreach. I firmly believe that a more equitable and just a community is a safer community.

I have earned the support of Assemblymember Evan Low and Supervisors Susan Ellenberg and Joe Simitian and together we can make the changes necessary. They know I have the experience and skills to implement the reform the department desperately needs while keeping our community safe.

I ask for your vote for a new direction for the Sheriff’s Office.  Join us at Bob4Sheriff.com
