Since March of 2020, Brian has been deployed to the County’s Emergency Operations Center and is currently serving as the Vaccine Outreach Branch Director.
Jennifer Gacutan-Galang has over 20 years of experience working in the Public Health and Health Education fields. Her passion is working with and advocating for high risk, underserved, and ethnically diverse populations and has done so in topics varying from nutrition, alcohol and other drugs, to violence prevention. Jennifer currently has been deployed to the County’s Emergency Operations Center and serves in the Vaccine Branch as the Community Stakeholder Working Group Co-Coordinator.
Kekoa (Koa) Lopez-Paguyo is a mixed-race Hawaiian Filipino from the island of O'ahu and a recent graduate with a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. He leads some of the critical vaccine and resource community outreach efforts across the Bay Area for the Regional Pacific Islander Taskforce (RPITF) as the program coordinator. He is passionate about advocacy for health equity among all AA and PI subgroup communities, cultural competence and grassroots community organizing
Saul Ramos brings over 10 years of work experience to the SOMOS team. He’s held positions at a foundation, school district, and non-profit organization. Saul was the Senior Program Manager at SOMOS for 3 years, and now returns to lead our program team, after two years as the Supervisor of Operations for Migrant and Seasonal Head Start. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley
Perla Flores is the Division Director for Community Solutions’ intimate partner abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking programs. She implemented Promotorx programs at the agency to increase underserved and marginalized communities’ access to information and resources.
Adriana Marquez is the Prevention Program Supervisor at Community Solutions. She has been a part of the agency for over 4 years and is very passionate about her work and feels blessed to be a part of the movement that will bring an end to gender-based violence. For the past month, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health, she has been leading a group of Promotores in South County in the efforts to facilitate vaccination registration to our underserved population.
Andre Chapman and Black organizations across the Bay Area have joined forces to create COVID-19 Black, a project that aims to help educate and protect African Americans through the pandemic.
Tri Nguyen is the Program Manager of the Vietnamese American Roundtable. He has worked with the Vietnamese American community in the Bay Area for over 10 years throughout various volunteering and organizing activities, from campaigns such as the Census 2020 to programs like Workers Rights Training and events like the Lunar New Year Festival.
Michele Lew provides leadership for all of The Health Trust’s operations and resources. Prior to joining The Health Trust in 2018, Michele served as the Local Government and Community Relations Director for Stanford Health Care. Previously, she served as President and CEO of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) from 2005-2016, a nonprofit health organization.
