As San José embraces new technology, including AI, nonprofits have a window of opportunity to address rapidly emerging risks. Governance, transparency, reporting, and protection are essential – and achievable – steps to safeguard the public.
Connect the dots – using simple terminology – between the breakneck-speed rollout of new technologies, growing concentration of wealth and power, and what this all means for nonprofit client bases and operations.
Working Partnerships USA, Latinas Contra Cancer, and Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) invite nonprofit organizations and community members to learn about the deep impacts of emerging technology on our lives and livelihoods, including its effects on healthcare, housing, education, employment, affordability, public safety, civil liberties, and government services.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Please review SVCN's Refund and Cancellation Policy before registering.
SVCN is committed to ensuring our in-person event is as safe as possible for our participants. SVCN provides free face coverings for attendees if they would like to use one. If you are sick, please stay home.
